EU launches Youth Advisory Council in Armenia – Tech Journal

Final week, the EU Delegation to Armenia launched a brand new initiative, the Youth Advisory Council (YAC).

The launch occasion, held on 7 March in Yerevan, introduced collectively younger individuals from throughout Armenia, youth employees, and authorities representatives. The occasion launched the YAC initiative, its objectives, actions, and the method behind its institution. Individuals engaged in group discussions, providing their concepts and recommendations for the YAC’s actions. 

In his speech, EU Ambassador Vassilis Maragos emphasised the essential position of youth in coverage making, and the significance of creating their voices heard and valued.

Deputy Minister of Training, Science, Tradition, and Sports activities of Armenia, Artur Martirosyan, welcomed the initiative and highlighted the newly adopted Youth Coverage Regulation, which the EU Delegation to Armenia known as a “vital step ahead for youth empowerment”.

The initiative will probably be applied as a part of the EU-funded undertaking ‘Help in Cultural and Youth Actions’ and is supported by means of a contract with the Goethe-Zentrum Yerevan.
